Baptism Preparation Sessions are held for all parents within the cluster who are planning to have their child baptised. The sessions are held every month, in the evenings, from 7pm to approximately 9pm
The aims of the sessions are to:
- Allow parents time to reflect on their own faith and the part it plays in their life
- Look at the reasons why they have chosen to have their child baptised and understand what is involved
- Help in the preparation by explaining the role of the parents/godparents and explaining the symbolism during the ceremony
- Provide an opportunity to ask questions
- Chance to meet new parents in the Parish who have children of similar age and help forge friendships
