BRENDAN NOLAN – THE PILGRIM RETURNS
Brendan Nolan was welcomed home by members of the parish at the weekly coffee morning after 9.30 Mass on Sunday 3rd July with sparkling wine, strawberries and cream. He had just completed a pilgrimage from his home in Tynemouth to Santiago De Compostela, a distance of 1600+ miles. It took 112 days and he went through two pairs of boots and six pairs of socks.

During the long pilgrimage he kept the parish informed through regular items for the weekly newsletter. He was supported throughout by the prayers of the Parish and in turn he prayed for us. He was sponsored by members of the parish and all money raised will go to help orphaned and abandoned children in Rumania
